Tempered Glass for Construction

Core Information

  • Product Thickness: 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 19mm, 22mm (Thickness can be fine-tuned according to project requirements)
  • Core Process: Physical tempering is the mainstream (heated to 600-700℃ at high temperature followed by rapid air cooling)
  • Basic Properties: Surface compressive stress ≥ 90MPa (for physical tempering); heat shock resistance temperature ≥ 250℃; fragment state meets safety standards (number of fragments per 50mm×50mm area ≥ 40 pieces, no sharp edges)
  • Certification Standard: China Compulsory Certification (3C); complies with GB15763.2-2005 Safety Glass for Building — Part 2: Tempered Glass

Technical Advantages

  • Super High-Temperature Resistance: After physical tempering, the glass’s heat shock resistance is significantly improved. It can withstand sudden cooling and heating in daily use (e.g., hot water splashing on the glass surface in winter), effectively preventing cracking caused by drastic temperature changes. It is suitable for multiple climate scenarios such as severe cold and high temperature.
  • Upgraded Mechanical Strength: The surface compressive stress layer makes the glass’s flexural strength 3-5 times that of ordinary glass, and its impact strength 5-10 times that of ordinary glass. It is not easy to break when facing slight collisions or wind pressure loads, making it especially suitable for high-stress scenarios such as curtain walls and external windows of high-rise buildings.
  • Safe Fragmentation Design: When broken, it shatters into obtuse-angled small particles without sharp fragments splashing. This minimizes personal injury in case of accidental impact, making it the "safety-first choice" for public places such as residences, schools, and shopping malls.

Application Scenarios

Building Envelope Protection: Doors and windows of residential/commercial buildings, glass curtain walls, balcony railings;

Indoor Functional Areas: Shower room glass, stair handrail glass, indoor partition walls

Public Facilities: Shopping mall display windows, subway platform glass, school classroom glass
